According to police, her family contacted Sector 56 police station after repeated calls to her went unanswered. When officers reached the flat and forced the door open, they found Ishaka lying in a pool of blood. A preliminary investigation suggests she was stabbed multiple times with a knife. Forensic experts later reached the scene and began collecting evidence. ACCUSED FOUND DEAD ON RAILWAY TRACKS During the investigation, police learnt that the victim's friend, Shresth Malik, 25, a software engineer from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh, had visited her flat.
While police were searching for him, they received information about a man's body lying in two pieces on the Gurugram railway tracks. The body was identified as Shresth Malik. Police suspect he died by suicide after jumping in front of a moving train following the alleged murder. POLICE PROBE MOTIVE Police have sent both bodies for post-mortem examination and informed their families. Sector 56 Station House Officer Manoj Kumar said the investigation is under way. Police are examining CCTV footage, call detail records and other evidence to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine what led to the crime.
