The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sunday (July 12, 2026) expressed concern over the recently reported irregularities and alleged misuse of donations at thein Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. Delegates underscored the need for measures that ensure that such incidents do not recur, a spokesperson said on the concluding day of its annual Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak in Belagavi. Sunil Ambekar, RSS’ all-India Convenor, Communications, said the ongoing embezzlement case was discussed in the three-day regional convenors’ meeting in Belagavi. “The deliberations were in detail. Most speakers expressed confidence in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Uttar Pradesh Police. They felt that it would lead to clear results soon. The investigation was taken up after a request by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.
It was also decided to conduct the activities of the temple in such a way as not to disturb the faith of the devotees,’’ he said. Ambekar said that the meeting, held in the Sant Meera school in Angol, was attended by regional convenors from all States, office bearers and executives, and heads of all the 42 organisations affiliated to the RSS. “RSS Sara Sanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sara Karyavaha Dattatreya Hosabale, and other senior leaders attended and addressed some sessions. As many as 226 Pracharaks from across the country, 83 Sangh Shiksha Varga members and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Varga members participated. As many as 18,842 volunteers were trained in the three-day event,’’ he said.

Discussions focussed on the working of the RSS, and national issues like rural development, family welfare, disaster management, environmental protection and other issues,’’ Mr. Ambekar said. ‘Review of RSS centenary celebrations held’ Ambekar also said the leadership held a review on the preparations for the RSS centenary celebrations. “The leadership also reviewed the implementation of action plans at the shakha level and discussed an intensive expansion drive planned for September to increase the number of shakhas across the country.
