The party alleges that the remarks made during the address could lead to the tampering of evidence and the influencing of witnesses in the Karur stampede case. During the speech, the Chief Minister accused the DMK of being behind the tragedy.
In response, the party is urging the CBI to register a case and take cognizance of the statements. The DMK is also requesting steps to make the accused execute bonds with restraining conditions to prevent any interference with the pending investigation.
