An incident of sexual harassment has emerged from Bengaluru, where a delivery agent allegedly flashed a resident inside her home. The delivery personnel, reportedly working for an e-commerce affiliate, arrived to deliver a parcel and requested to use the washroom. Despite being refused permission, the agent forcibly entered the house, used the facility, and subsequently flashed his private parts. The resident managed to record the entire ordeal on a mobile phone, capturing the agent zipping his pants before fleeing the scene.
Following the video going viral on social media, local police took cognizance of the matter and registered a First Information Report. The incident has raised concerns regarding the safety of e-commerce consumers and the lack of background verification for gig workers. Activists are demanding strict accountability from e-commerce platforms, urging them to implement comprehensive training protocols and background checks to ensure consumer safety and prevent such violations by delivery personnel.
