Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra: What to expect Samsung is highly anticipated to expand its foldable portfolio by introducing a new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, positioning it above the standard Fold model, much like the Galaxy S Ultra sits at the top of the Galaxy S series.
Leaks suggest the Fold 8 Ultra could feature improved display technology to minimise the visible crease, a thinner and lighter body, upgraded cameras and faster charging. It is also tipped to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon flagship chipset, alongside new Galaxy AI-powered multitasking features designed specifically for larger foldable screens. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to receive more iterative upgrades, including a redesigned hinge, slimmer profile, reduced display crease and software improvements built around Android and Galaxy AI. Galaxy Z Flip 8 specifications (expected) The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to retain Samsung's familiar clamshell design but with several refinements. Leaks suggest the device could weigh around 180 grams and measure approximately 13.2mm when folded and 6.6mm when unfolded, making it slimmer than its predecessor. The phone is also rumoured to feature a 4.1-inch OLED cover display and a 6.9-inch OLED main display, both offering up to 2,600 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the outer panel. Camera hardware may remain largely unchanged, with a 50-megapixel primary camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos at up to 60fps.
