Iran has launched a series of retaliatory strikes against United States targets across the West Asia region, including in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed its air defence systems are actively intercepting incoming ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones from Iran. Explosions and sirens were reported in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
Meanwhile, Qatar, which has been mediating talks between the US and Iran, raised its security threat level and urged residents to stay indoors after booms were heard in Doha. The attacks follow Iran's warnings of revenge in response to recent US strikes, significantly escalating tensions in the region.
