Under the leadership of B. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sai Kalyanachakravarthi said the objective of the Lok Adalat was to provide speedy, inexpensive and accessible justice, particularly to the poor, through amicable settlement of disputes. He said 46 Lok Adalat benches, including 16 in Guntur city, had been constituted for the exercise. Several high-value and time-bound settlements were recorded during the Lok Adalat. In one instance, two motor accident claim petitions arising out of a road accident that occurred on June 11, 2026, were settled within a month.
The claim filed by the legal heirs of N. Venkata Rao was settled for ₹8 lakh, while the claim filed by the family members of T. Brahmaiah was settled for ₹4.5 lakh. The compensation was released soon after the claims reached the court. Mr. Sai Kalyanachakravarthi distributed compensation cheques to the claimants in the presence of Syed Ziyauddin, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority.
