The Future City Police have announced a cash reward of ₹2 lakh for information leading to the arrest of absconding murder accused B. Rajkumar, who is wanted in connection with the murder of six persons, including three children, in Shabad mandal of Rangareddy district. Rajkumar allegedly stabbed six people to death, including his wife, two young sons and three members of the family that had filed a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (PoCSO) Act case against him, in two separate attacks late on the night of July 10.
Police suspect the killings were carried out in revenge for the criminal case registered against him. Police said Rajkumar used a knife to stab all six victims before slitting their throats. The weapon was recovered from one of the crime scenes. Shortly after the attacks, he allegedly called his father and confessed to the killings.
His father then informed the Shabad police. The police said intensive search operations are under way across many jurisdictions to trace the accused. They assured that the identity of informants would be kept strictly confidential and that
appropriate security measures would be taken to ensure their safety. The public with information on his whereabouts have been asked to contact the Chevella Police Control Room or share details through the dedicated helpline and WhatsApp number, 918712665324.
