Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh (CTU-AP) will take up the admission process between July 13 and July 15 for its post graduate courses such as Tribal Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Journalism and Mass Communication, English, Chemistry, Biotechnology and Master of Business Administration (MBA) for the academic year 2026 and 2027. Each branch will have 20 seats and their number would go up to 30 from 2027-28, according to University authorities. The youngsters who attended for the all-India level Common University Entrance Test (CUET) are eligible to get admissions in the University which was established in the Year-2020 in Vizianagaram of AP.
The University has recently conducted its first convocation in Visakhapatnam where President of India Dropaudi Murmu presented certificates to students who completed their courses successfully. In the backdrop of the first convocation organised in the presence of the President of India, there is a significant demand for the seats in the University. In-charge Vice Chancellor T. Srinivasan who held several review meetings over the admission process in the last few days expressed happiness over the good response from the students of all the States for the courses offered by the University.
“Since inception, the University has been giving top priority for campus placements, entrepreneurship, field studies and research on selected subjects under the guidance of experts. All these factors contributed for the demand for the seats offered by the University,” said Dr. Srinivasan while speaking to The Hindu. He said that the registration process had begun for the admissions into undergraduate courses such as Botany, Chemistry, Artificial Intelligence, Bachelor of Business Administration and others. As many as 120 seats are available in UG courses and 160 seats are offered for PG courses.
Their number is likely to go up from next academic year as the University’s permanent buildings will be ready by end of year-2026 in Gajapathinagaram-Saluru route. Currently, the University is holding classes for students in the temporary campus located in Vizianagaram.
