Drone strikes around El Obeid in North Kordofan are disrupting Sudan’s main overland routes, with attacks attributed to the Rapid Support Forces hitting commercial lorries, aid convoys and vehicles between Kosti and the city.
Fuel tankers, petrol stations and water infrastructure have also been struck, squeezing supplies and raising prices as drivers halt or reroute via Um Rawaba. The army says it controls El Obeid and will fight on, while residents remain concerned about continued attacks from the air.
