Trump’s comments come as fighting between the US and Iran has raised fears of a return to all-out war. The two sides have exchanged attacks in recent days, with Tehran targeting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, while Washington has carried out retaliatory strikes. Iran has also launched drones and missiles at US assets across the Middle East.
