Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-nation visit to Japan, Indonesia, and Australia has resulted in major defence and strategic developments, according to former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla. He said India signed important defence agreements with all three countries and that the long-pending India-Australia uranium agreement has finally become operational. Shringla also said Australia will now begin supplying uranium to India, helping the country expand its nuclear energy capacity from 8 GW to a target of 100 GW by 2047.
