Ministers of the German State of Bavaria and Telangana on Friday held discussions in Hyderabad on strengthening collaboration, between both the States, in a number of areas, forging long term partnerships and attracting investments. The focus of the discussion was on deepening long-term partnerships in research, innovation and technology-led investments, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, Quantum computing, Global Capability Centres, advanced manufacturing, financial engineering and digital infrastructure, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said on his meeting with Vice Minister in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy Tobias Gotthardt.
Telangana is building a globally competitive ecosystem for frontier technologies, anchored by AI, digital infrastructure and deep-tech innovation, Mr. Sridhar Babu told the visiting minister and members of the delegation, including Consul General of Germany Michael Hasper. “AI and quantum computing will shape the next phase of global innovation and economic growth. Telangana is investing in the right foundations with world class infrastructure, a strong talent pipeline, industry-friendly policies and an innovation ecosystem that enables companies to build and scale,” he said. Life Sciences, aerospace, defence, advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, semiconductors, automotive and mobility, besides AI, were some of in which Telangana offers vast investment opportunities.
Inviting Bavarian companies, research institutions and technology leaders to partner with Telangana in advancing next-generation technologies and expanding investments in the State, Mr. Sridhar Babu sought to highlight the tremendous potential to work with Bavaria in creating solutions for global markets. The State government is making planned efforts to transform Telangana into a world-class manufacturing hub with investor-friendly industrial policies, world-class infrastructure and a skilled workforce. The Bavarian Minister said regional relations are the new engine of global economy. The Consul General urged German companies looking at India to consider Hyderabad as a preferred destination for investment, citing the city’s strong innovation ecosystem, highly skilled talent pool and business-friendly environment.
Telangana IT Department, in a release on the meeting, said that a follow-up delegation of Bavarian industry leaders is likely to visit Telangana to explore investment opportunities and forge long-term technology partnerships.
