A massive flash flood triggered by heavy rainfall has caused widespread destruction in Lippa village of Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh. The flood in Pager Nallah submerged a nearly 100-foot-long iron bridge, forcing authorities to suspend movement and cutting off the village from the rest of the district. Large amounts of rocks, mud, and debris entered residential areas, damaging homes, pedestrian pathways, and agricultural land.
Several houses near the bridge remain under threat due to severe land erosion. Apple orchards have also suffered extensive damage, raising fears of significant financial losses for local farmers.
