The meeting has triggered a fierce war of words, intense speculation over shifting political alliances, and public frustration from the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT). Will MVA survive? News18 explains. THE RECENT TRIGGER: PAWAR-SHINDE MEETING Sharad Pawar held an informal meeting with his party MLAs inside the Vidhan Bhavan. Crucially, the gathering took place in the official chamber of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who also formally welcomed and felicitated Pawar. The NCP (SP) and Shinde’s office maintained that it was a non-political courtesy visit. He stated that the Uddhav Thackeray faction felt “disturbed and hurt" by Pawar sitting in the office of the man who engineered the rebellion that dismantled the original MVA government. Raut warned that such highly publicised interactions dilute the opposition’s narrative and damage the veteran leader’s credibility before the public. NCP (SP) leadership quickly fired back at the Uddhav camp, accusing them of double standards. They stated that politics runs on “arithmetic, not emotions" and remarked that if a single meeting could shake the MVA, its foundation must be weak. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule however on Friday sought to put an end to the political controversy, calling the row a “storm in a tea cup".
