Ayushi allegedly allied with her paternal uncle (Mohan Swaroop) and her cousin (Balram alias Ravi) to eliminate Neeraj. They orchestrated a ₹7 lakh contract killing scheme using hitmen from Bharatpur. The conspirators initially rented a Mahindra Thar to shadow Neeraj and run her over, but they failed to execute the plan. On July 3, Neeraj was walking home after dropping her son off at a coaching center in the Pratap Nagar locality. A speeding Mahindra Scorpio SUV — travelling at roughly 130 km/h — deliberately struck her, throwing her body nearly 100 feet and killing her on the spot. How the cover-up unravelled? Initially, the police registered the incident as a standard hit-and-run traffic accident. However, Neeraj’s brother, Rakesh, suspected deep-rooted foul play given the family’s aggressive history over money and filed a comprehensive FIR.
