Nine months after the tragic Karur election campaign stampede that claimed 41 lives, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay visited Karur to meet the families of the victims and announce a comprehensive relief and development package.
As part of the outreach, CM Vijay handed over 32 government job appointment letters to the affected families and inaugurated development projects worth nearly ₹1,700 crore.
The projects, including a non-leather footwear manufacturing facility, are expected to generate more than 13,500 employment opportunities, boosting economic growth in the region. n18oc_breaking-news News18
