Bengaluru INDIA NANO 2026, a flagship nanotechnology conference and exhibition, will be organised by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, on the theme ‘Nanotech’s Next Frontier: AI and Beyond, Conceive, Converge, Commercialise’, at The Lalit hotel in Bengaluru on August 3-5, 2026. Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) and the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS), Bengaluru, jointly announced the event in Tirupati on Thursday (July 9, 2026) evening.
The primary objective is to create awareness among degree college students affiliated with SVU about the importance, applications and future prospects of nanoscience and nanotechnology. SVU Vice-Chancellor Tata Narasinga Rao asked the students to cultivate scientific thinking, an inquisitive nature and an interest in research. Professor G.U. Kulkarni, of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bengaluru, highlighted the opportunities offered by nanoscience and nanotechnology across various sectors.
SVU Professor and Dean of Research and Development G. Narasimha explained the primary objective of the event. He said the programme offered the students an
opportunity to grasp scientific concepts through lectures, demonstrations and interactive discussions. The event featured expert lectures, video presentations, interactive discussions and live demonstrations.
