The accused have been identified as Arman Khan (22), a resident of Noor Nagar, and Md Shahnwaj Ahmad alias Raj (25). Both accused confessed to the murder," Lohardaga SP Sadique Anwar Rizvi said. "During questioning, the accused told investigators that the three had consumed alcohol at Shahnwaj's house in Durgabadi Lane on July 4, where a dispute broke out over an issue with the victim.
In a fit of rage, they first beat him to death," the officer said. Rizvi said the accused then cut the body into several pieces with a hexa blade, put the head and both legs in a sack, and dumped it in the closed stone quarry. Police said the other body parts were thrown into the forest and bushes. Acting on the accused's inputs, police recovered the remaining body parts, the hexa blade allegedly used in the murder, and the scooter used to dispose of the body.
An FIR has been registered at Sadar police station under the BNS on the statement of the deceased's father, Mikail Mir. The arrests and recoveries followed the discovery of the body parts and the subsequent investigation by police. Ends
