Mumbai's iconic K. Rustom ice cream parlour in Churchgate has been ordered to shut after a surprise inspection by the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Officials reported serious hygiene violations, including rats, flies, improper refrigeration, spoiled food products and documentation lapses. The licence has been suspended until the establishment complies with food safety norms.
