The US says it hit 90 targets, in a second day of strikes on Iran after Donald Trump earlier threatened to "hit them hard". Several Gulf nations have since reported apparent Iranian attacks - this included explosions in Bahrain's capital Manama, Kuwait intercepting missiles and drones, and Qatar issuing a security alert.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's chief negotiator with the US, said America "still hasn't learned that bullying and breaking promises are no longer cost-free”. Iranian media reported that explosions were heard in areas along the country's southern coast and that strikes have hit Iranian-controlled islands in the Gulf.
Iran said it responded with retaliatory attacks on US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait in the early hours of Wednesday. For the latest news
