Minister for Labour and Employment Vivek Venkataswamy on Wednesday (July 8, 2026) said the Congress government was committed to addressing public grievances promptly and transparently
Minister for Labour and Employment Vivek Venkataswamy on Wednesday (July 8, 2026) said the Congress government was committed to addressing public grievances promptly and transparently through the face-to-face interaction programme being held at Gandhi Bhavan. Participating in the programme, Mr. Vivek said several representations were received from people seeking pensions, double-bedroom houses, and solutions to land-related issues.
He said some grievances were resolved on the spot after discussions with District Collectors, while others were being taken up for further action. The Minister stated that the State government would provide pensions to three lakh eligible beneficiaries in the coming days. To ensure effective follow-up of complaints received during the programme, a dedicated monitoring cell had been established and complaints were being reviewed daily, he said.
He alleged that ration cards had not been issued during the previous BRS government’s tenure for nearly ten years. After the Congress government assumed office,
ration cards were issued to all eligible beneficiaries. Not even a single person approached me seeking a ration card during the interaction programme, he said.
