According to Iranian state media, the strikes hit two marine piers and a maritime traffic control tower at the southeastern port city. State broadcaster IRIB reported that several projectiles struck the Shahid Beheshti dock, the Kalantari dock and the maritime traffic control tower. Footage shows a US airstrike on the Iranian port of Chabahar, destroying the main maritime control tower.

The head of the Chabahar Free Zone Organisation also confirmed that the port’s maritime traffic control tower had been hit and destroyed, according to Iran International. 10 Explosions Heard Around Chabahar Port Residents reported hearing around 10 explosions across Chabahar and the neighbouring city of Konarak. The strikes also disrupted electricity supplies, with nearly half of Chabahar losing power. The provincial electricity chief for Sistan and Baluchestan said three power lines had been cut during the attack, adding that two had already been restored while work was underway to reconnect the third. The reported strike on its maritime traffic control tower is significant because the facility manages the movement of ships entering and leaving the port. US Strikes Iran As Trump Warns Attacks ‘Will Get Much Worse’ The latest strikes came after the U.S. military announced a fresh round of operations against Iran, saying the attacks were aimed at safeguarding freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz after Tuesday’s assault on three cargo ships transiting the vital waterway. The Strait of Hormuz, through which around one-fifth of global oil supplies passed before the war began with U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran on February 28, has become a key flashpoint in the conflict.
