A 13-year-old girl died and three other students were critically injured after a venomous krait entered the girls' hostel of a private residential school in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district and bit them while they were asleep. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Sanvasira Higher Secondary Residential School in Rocho Mahuatoli.

Teachers rushed all four students to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital during the night, where doctors declared Varsha dead on arrival. Fulmania, who remains in critical condition, was referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for advanced treatment, while the other two students are undergoing treatment at Lohardaga Sadar Hospital.
