Investigations into the Ayodhya Ram Mandir donation loot have uncovered the use of fake receipt books bearing the temple trust's name and logo. Three accused individuals are currently in police custody. The former temple trust general secretary has denied all allegations, attributing the lapses to bank officials and housekeeping staff, while stating that a trustee was fully aware of the protocols.
Simultaneously, a police case has been registered regarding alleged offering thefts at Badrinath Dham. The Uttarakhand Chief Minister has ordered a high-level inquiry headed by the Garhwal commissioner, with a strict deadline to submit a comprehensive report. Meanwhile, the temple committee chairman secretary has already been suspended. Both ongoing probes aim to determine the full extent of the alleged misappropriations and restore the trust of millions of devoted pilgrims.
