The Kerala government on Wednesday (July 8, 2026) ordered a Crime Branch investigation into the alleged irregularities in the selection process for various posts by the Public Service Commission (PSC). A team led by Inspector General of Police Ajeetha Begum will carry out the investigation.
Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan, who announced the Cabinet decision at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, said that the allegations being raised are of a serious nature and that the investigation will look into all the complaints received till now regarding various examinations. “The Home department will take a call based on the seriousness of each complaint.
Attaining a job through the PSC is a dream for lakhs of people in Kerala. So many allegations have cropped up. It is not right to reach a conclusion without a proper investigation,” he said. Earlier
this week, a probe by the Internal Vigilance Wing of the PSC had found anomalies in the valuation of 10 questions in the examination for the Chief (Industry and Infrastructure) post in the State Planning Board.
