The Chief Minister conducted a surprise inspection at a children's hospital in Egmore, Chennai. Accompanied by the Health Minister, the Chief Minister visited the gynecology ward to review healthcare facilities and provisions available to young mothers and mothers-to-be. During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted with patients, new mothers, and infants, and took stock of the medical equipment with the head of the department.
The hospital staff and doctors were advised to prioritise kindness and treat patients with patience during vulnerable times. Large crowds gathered outside the hospital premises during the surprise visit.
