Rajasthan Shocker: Daughter Allegedly Kills Mother, Stages Road Accident To Claim Government Job And Property Published By, Last Updated: July 08, 2026, 17:45 IST Police said Ayushi allegedly conspired with six close relatives to eliminate her mother so she could gain control of both the government job and the family's property Rapid Read Police have arrested Ayushi along with several relatives accused of helping execute the alleged conspiracy. A 45-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her daughter, who, according to police, staged the crime to look like a road accident in an attempt to inherit her government job and family property. The incident has been reported from Rajasthan’s Jaipur, where police claim they have uncovered a carefully planned murder conspiracy. How The Case Unfolded According to police, the victim, Neeraj Sharma (45), was a resident of Ravindra Nagar in Jaipur’s Pratap Nagar area.
Her husband had died about a year ago, following which she secured a government job as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) under the compassionate appointment scheme. Investigators allege that Neeraj’s daughter, Ayushi, 23, wanted the government job to be transferred to her instead. However, Neeraj reportedly refused to give up her position, leading to growing tension between the two. Murder Allegedly Disguised As A Road Accident Police said Ayushi allegedly conspired with six close relatives to eliminate her mother so she could gain control of both the government job and the family’s property. As part of the alleged plan, Neeraj Sharma was deliberately run over by a car on July 3, making the incident appear to be a fatal road accident. The accused allegedly hoped the staged crash would prevent suspicion and help them escape detection. How Police Cracked The Case The case took a dramatic turn after Neeraj’s brother, Rajesh, grew suspicious about the circumstances surrounding her death and approached the police.
During the investigation, officers reportedly noticed inconsistencies in Ayushi’s statements and behaviour. Further questioning and evidence led investigators to conclude that the road accident had allegedly been staged and was, in fact, a planned murder. According to a Bhaskar English report, police alleged that the woman’s daughter conspired with her paternal uncle and cousin, allegedly paying them Rs 7 lakh to kill her mother. Investigators said the victim was deliberately run over by an SUV travelling at nearly 130 km/h, with the impact throwing her about 100 feet and killing her on the spot. Police have arrested Ayushi along with several relatives accused of helping execute the alleged conspiracy. Officials said one more suspect remains absconding and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the person.
