A local politician and a patient's relatives brutally assaulted medical staff, including a female doctor, after a dispute over the lack of a neonatal intensive care unit for a premature baby. Despite the medical professionals making arrangements at nearby government facilities, the family demanded admission at the same hospital.
The confrontation escalated when the politician and his accomplices entered the premises, threatening and physically attacking the on-duty staff.
