Gholamzadeh said there had been no progress so far in the indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington. “The negotiations are not moving forward. We know it, and the US also knows it," he added. Trump’s Latest Warning To Iran This came after Trump issued another warning to Tehran during an appearance at the White House, saying the United States was prepared to use military force if diplomacy failed.

Trump said the US had the capability to strike Iran’s critical infrastructure if peace efforts collapsed. Iran’s Supreme Security Council Secretary Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr hit back at Trump’s remarks, telling him to address the Iranian people “with respect" or face a response in “another language". “I say to the delusional president of the United States, who today threatened 91 million Iranians: Speak to the Iranian people with respect, or we will respond to you in another language," Zolghadr said.
