An India Today investigation into the donation theft scandal at the Ayodhya temple trust reveals widespread criminal misappropriation and breach of trust. An accessed interim report from the Special Investigation Team confirms approximately seventy alleged theft incidents occurred in the counting room between late April and early June. The investigation is now expanding beyond stolen cash and ornaments to scrutinize over one hundred and twenty-four crore rupees spent by the temple trust, including expenses for the consecration ceremony.
