K. Vidyasagar took charge as State Nodal Officer of Prajavani from IAS officer Divya Devarajan, in the presence of State Planning Board Vice Chairman G. Chinna Reddy, at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday (July 7, 2026). Launched on December 8, 2023, Prajavani is a grievance programme held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Mr. Devarajan, who held Full Additional Charge (FAC) of the post till recently, was relieved of the FAC in the reshuffling of bureaucrats and others in June. Reddy appreciated the services rendered by Mr.Devarajan. Besides FAC of the Prajavani, Mr. Vidyasagar was given the post as Director of Tourism.
A native of Yadadri Bhongir district, he holds a Masters degree in Sociology from Osmania University. He served as Tahasildar of four districts, worked with Centre for Good Governance and Dr. MCR HRD Institute. Mr. Vidyasagar also worked as Deputy Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation; Deputy Collector, Serilingampalli and Additional Collector, Medchal Malkajgiri District.
Before being transferred recently, he served as Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Secretary.
