Dismissing claims of systemic failure, he defended the Ram Temple Trust's swift response, contrasting it with bureaucratic delays in other religious institutions. Gurumurthy noted that the SIT took time only to gather concrete CCTV evidence before registering an FIR.
Emphasizing the trust's transparency, he criticized the media's focus on contextual sensationalism, stating, 'What you are doing is only aiding the debranding of India outside.' He also vouched for the integrity of general secretary Champat Rai, asserting that people would not lose their faith in Ram over the incident.
