The Department of Urology at Government General Hospital (GGH), Ongole, performed advanced Holmium Laser Lithotripsy for kidney stone patients using the newly procured state-of-the-art laser system, offering safe, minimally invasive, and high-quality treatment.
GGH Superintendent Dr. A.S. Manikya Rao stated that the latest Holmium Laser equipment and advanced endourology instruments have significantly enhanced the hospital's capability to treat kidney stones without major incisions, with minimal blood loss, reduced pain, and faster recovery.
He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Urology Department led by Dr. G. Kiran Kumar for successfully introducing and performing the advanced procedure at the GGH. The Superintendent said that
the availability of such advanced technology in a government hospital enables patients to receive corporate-level healthcare free of charge, eliminating the need to travel to private hospitals for expensive treatment.
