Prabowo further revealed that several of his ministers and generals also liked to sing Indian songs, adding, “Maybe most of them have Indian DNA too." He also described himself as a friend to all Indians, saying Indonesians must learn from the experience of India. “Our civilisation, our culture are strongly influenced by the Indian civilisation. Our language is around 50% from Sanskrit. Many of our names are Sanskrit names," he added. ‘Won Hearts Of Millions Of Indians’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi heaped praise on Prabowo for his ‘Indian DNA’ remark, saying it had won the hearts of millions of Indians and symbolised the close relationship between India and Indonesia. “Mr President, you said it back then, and you have said it again today. This came shortly after PM Modi was conferred with the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurna, Indonesia’s highest civilian award, by President Prabowo Subianto in recognition for his contributions towards strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation.
