Mossad officer Sagiv Assulin, speaking exclusively to NDTV from Tel Aviv, said the Israel-Hamas conflict has expanded into a wider confrontation with Iran-backed proxy groups across West Asia. Warning of an emerging “eighth front” driven by perception and ideological warfare, Assulin stressed the growing importance of India-Israel intelligence cooperation against terrorism and radical networks.
Reflecting on the October 7 attacks, he said Israel’s failure was not in intelligence gathering, but in intelligence assessment, signalling a major shift in the country’s future security doctrine.
