A landslide hit an under-construction tunnel road project connecting Malappuram and Wayanad districts in Kerala, leading to several workers getting trapped. Two deaths have been confirmed, while approximately six people remain stuck under the debris. Rescue operations are currently underway with the Disaster Response Force, state disaster management force, and the fire force deployed at the site.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the district amid heavy rainfall.
