Protests continue in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir as demonstrators seek humanitarian aid, food, and medicine from India due to shortages and violence by Pakistani Rangers. A leader from the Joint Awami Action Committee appealed for the Line of Control to be opened to help Kashmiris escape inhumane conditions and oppression.
Although the appeal video is unverified, anger against the Pakistani regime is widespread. The current demonstrations are among the most prolonged in the region, with dozens of deaths of children, women, and elders over the last four weeks. Demonstrations have also spread globally, including a protest march to the Pakistani embassy in London.
Protesters in the region are now looking towards India for assistance. Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
