Following the induction of two Hindu members into the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, 'Bhaijaan' reacted furiously, declaring that the appointment of Hindus to the Waqf body would not be tolerated at any cost. Threats were issued that if the Hindus were not removed from the Waqf Board, they would wreak havoc. Protesters across the board are terming this an interference in their religious system, whereas the government maintains that this is a mandatory provision under the Waqf Amendment Act.
