'Israelis Are Good At Assassination': Dr Foad Izadi On Mojtaba Khamenei Missing His Father's Funeral
In an exclusive interview, Professor Foad Izadi of the University of Tehran discusses the recent funeral of the Iranian Supreme Leader and the geopolitical messages
In an exclusive interview, Professor Foad Izadi of the University of Tehran discusses the recent funeral of the Iranian Supreme Leader and the geopolitical messages surrounding the event. Responding to queries about the selective recitation of Quranic verses for foreign delegations, Izadi states it reflects political Islam and notes that Iranians are protesting against actions by Israeli and American leaders. He emphasizes, "They are Muslims, and they are reciting the Quran, but they're fighting for humanity." Addressing the absence of Western nations at the funeral, Izadi clarifies that countries supporting the attack on Iran were deliberately not invited, remarking that those belonging to the civilized world are welcome, unlike those in the Epstein class.
Furthermore, Izadi explains the absence of the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, from the funeral. He attributes this to security threats from the Israeli defense minister, concluding that "it is more important to keep the country's leader safe than to address curiosity of some Western journalists."
