The Investigation Agency has filed a supplementary chargesheet in the Pahalgam terror attack case, naming the Pakistan-based chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba as an accused. The chargesheet links the mastermind to the conspiracy behind the April 22 massacre. The accused is charged in an individual capacity and as the head of the banned outfit and its proxy, The Resistance Front.
The investigation details how the conspiracy was planned and monitored from Pakistan, alleging direct links with the intelligence agency and army. Security forces previously neutralized three terrorists during Operation Mahadev. The probe reveals that a handler directed the infiltration and religion-based targeted assault in the Baitaran Valley, and further investigation is underway.
