Incessant rain in Mumbai has delivered a month's worth of rainfall in just four days, disrupting rail, road, and air services. The recently inaugurated missing link of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway was closed following a landslide. A portion of a flyover on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway caved in, while waterlogging was reported on the Mumbai-Goa highway and across several parts of Mumbai, including Chembur, Kurla, Andheri, and Dadar.
A building collapse in Mankhurd killed six people, including five children. The opposition criticized the government over monsoon preparedness of infrastructure projects, while the Met department issued a cloudburst alert for Nashik.
