Kurnool Government General Hospital Superintendent Dr. K. Venkateswarlu conducted a surprise inspection of the wards at the hospital on Monday (July 6, 2026). During the visit, he reviewed the medical services being provided to patients, the sanitation standards, and the performance of the medical staff.
He instructed the doctors and staff to ensure that all modules of the Electronic Health Records (EHR) for patients are fully and accurately updated. Venkateswarlu stated that properly recording all information from the patient’s admission and treatment to diagnostic tests, medication, and discharge in the EHR would enable the delivery of medical services with transparency and efficiency.
He also inquired about any technical glitches and directed the concerned officials to resolve such issues immediately. He stressed that doctors, nursing staff, and other personnel must not show any negligence regarding EHR entries and must keep patient details updated in real-time. Noting that the EHR plays a pivotal role in the government’s digital health initiative, he urged everyone to act responsibly.
The Superintendent also interacted with the patients in the wards about the quality of medical care they were receiving.
