He said that Iran must agree to a deal or the US will “complete the mission".
He also said that whether a deal is concluded between the two nations or not, the US “will win". Trump also said that he prefers to reach a deal because he does not wish to harm 91 million people. In a series of remarks, Trump said that the United States has already obtained concessions from Iran and that Tehran must adhere to them. He added that Washington will also secure Iran’s highly enriched uranium as part of the process. He claimed that oil prices have fallen and are now lower than before the escalation, which he described was a result of an “epic wrath process" against Iran.
At the same time, Trump said he is not seeking regime change in Iran. He stressed that his preference remains a negotiated settlement. His comments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts and heightened tensions in the region, where concerns over nuclear activity and military escalation continue to shape talks between the two sides. Trump also spoke about the Russia-Ukraine war. He said that both the Russian and Ukrainian presidents want to end the conflict. He expressed confidence that a resolution may be close, adding that he believes the war could be brought to an end. The remarks come as the conflict continues with no formal ceasefire in place, despite periodic negotiations and international mediation efforts.
