Vice-Chancellor of Rani Channamma University in Belagavi C.M. Thyagaraja has said that only discipline, perseverance and hard work will help students in making their dreams turn to reality. Delivering the keynote address at Saraansh, graduation day ceremony of Bright Business School in Hubballi on Sunday, he advised the outgoing students to make the best use of opportunities in India, which is establishing itself as a global centre for manufacturing, to develop their career.
Thyagaraja said that the graduation day marked the commencement of life-long learning as technology is fast changing. โWe are speaking about AI (artificial learning), Machine Learning, Data Analytics, etc., and soon we will be moving to synthetic intelligence. Hence, adapting to latest technology faster is crucial,โ he said Emphasising that character is more important than competence, he also told the students to remember that the world is interested in problem-solving ability and not the degree one possesses.
He asked them to develop entrepreneurial capabilities and be a job-giver and not a job-seeker. Managing Director of Karnataka Conveyors and Systems M.V. Karmari said that there are immense opportunities for growth as India has become one of the largest automobile manufacturing nations in the world. Presiding over the ceremony, Chairman of Bright Business School G.B. Halyal elaborated on the initiatives taken by the institution for creating the best learning ambience for students.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, director of the B-School Prasad Roodagi spoke about the achievements of the institution in a very short span of time. Later, students who have excelled in different fields of academic and extra-curricular activities were honoured with various awards.
