Amid the ongoing controversy over alleged thefts and missing donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has officially accepted the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra. Following constitutional rules cited by K. Parasaran, the resignations were deemed automatically accepted. Krishan Mohan has been appointed as the interim General Secretary to oversee future operations.
Addressing the media, the Trust refuted widespread rumours regarding missing sacred items, including the Ramayana, Kakbhushundi Maharaj idol, and padukas, confirming that a register of 2800 items is maintained securely. Several items were displayed to the press as proof. The Trust assured that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is actively probing the alleged theft, with a final report expected by July 22.
Condemning the uproar, the Trust accused political opponents of orchestrating a fake narrative to divide Hindu society, urging devotees not to believe baseless rumours and to verify facts directly at the Trust office.
