The Vasai-Virar region recorded 335 mm of rainfall in the last 12 hours, disrupting daily life. Waterlogging has been reported across multiple areas, including Ambadi Manikpur Road near Vasai station, Evershine Road, Satuli Road, and Bhoidapada Road. Rainwater entered several homes and shops, causing vehicles to break down.
Train services between Vasai and Virar have been suspended. Rescue operations are underway in Umelman village, where water entered chawls. Schools have declared a holiday due to heavy rain, and power outages have been reported in several areas. Essential supplies such as milk and vegetables have also been disrupted.
