The waterlogged tracks have slowed down local trains on both Western and Central lines, leading to delays of at least twenty minutes, with some trains halting entirely.
This disruption has heavily impacted daily commuters who rely on local train services to reach their workplaces. In response to the weather conditions, the India Meteorological Department has upgraded the warning for Mumbai and adjoining regions to a red alert. Authorities have advised residents to take necessary precautions and avoid leaving their homes unless absolutely essential.
