Polling for all four seats, if required, will be held on July 30, while the election process will be completed by August 4, 2026. The bypolls will be conducted for the 22-Datia Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh, the Bankipur and 182-Bakhtiyarpur Assembly constituencies in Bihar, and the 145-Manjalpur Assembly constituency in Gujarat. MADHYA PRADESH SEAT VACATED AFTER MLA’S DISQUALIFICATION According to the Election Commission’s notification, the by-election to the 22-Datia Assembly constituency has been necessitated following the vacancy caused by the disqualification of the sitting MLA. The Commission has fixed July 13 as the last date for filing nominations, while scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on July 14. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is July 16.
Polling, if necessary, will be held on July 30, and the election process will be completed by August 4, 2026. As per the notified schedule, candidates can file their nomination papers until July 13, scrutiny will be conducted on July 14, and nominations can be withdrawn until July 16. Polling is scheduled for July 30, while the election process will conclude on August 4. Separately, the Bihar Election Department notified the election programme for the 182-Bakhtiyarpur Assembly constituency, with the notification being published in the Bihar Gazette on July 6, 2026. The constituency will follow the same election calendar announced by the Election Commission.
