The Ram Mandir Trust will hold its first meeting tomorrow since the donation theft case came to light. Trust members are expected to vote on the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra. As per the trust bylaws, a two-thirds majority is needed to accept the resignation of any office bearer. Even if the resignations are accepted, both will only be removed from their posts and will continue as lifetime members of the trust.
The meeting will also review the SIT's interim report on the donation theft case, discuss temple management, fill vacant posts, and take other key decisions. Meanwhile, the Ayodhya Police have received court permission to question five key accused inside the jail. Their statements will be recorded from today, after which investigators may seek their custody for further interrogation. The accused are Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Ram Shankar Yadav, Pandey, and Manish Yadav.
